On a beautiful spring day in mid-May, Juliana and Julian, a couple from California, chose the Abbey of San Galgano for their destination wedding in Tuscany. The day began with the couple getting ready in two stunning venues near Siena: Juliana stayed at the charming Hotel Athena, while Julian prepared at Castel di Pugna, an elegant wine estate just outside the city.
The couple, along with their intimate group of guests, traveled about 45 minutes to the abbey. Juliana arrived in a stylish white limo with her bridesmaids, adding a touch of glamour to the Tuscan landscape. Inside the abbey, Julian waited at the altar, surrounded by the timeless architecture of one of Italy’s most symbolic wedding venues.

After a moving civil ceremony, we had time for Couple Portraits inside the Abbey. Thanks to the beautiful weather and ideal lighting conditions, we captured striking editorial-style portraits—playing with light, shadow, and perspective. The raw beauty and mysticism of the abbey set the tone for a truly artistic and glamorous photo session, blending natural emotion with iconic visual storytelling.
Following the portraits, the group returned to Castel di Pugna for the evening celebrations. The estate’s panoramic view of Siena at sunset offered the perfect backdrop for aperitifs, while the Tuscan dinner in the garden created a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.

The day’s photography followed a full wedding reportage approach, beginning with morning preparations and ending late at night with the lively wedding party.
