Getting married in San Galgano Abbey is undoubtedly a dream come true, the most romantic wedding you could imagine. It has in fact become one of the locations for the most requested ceremonies, so the waiting list can be very long, but it is worth waiting for. The architectural complex of San Galgano is located in the middle of the Val di Merse about 35 km south of Siena and can be easily reached by car in about 45 minutes. The place is composed of two points of interest: the great Gothic Abbey, dating back to the end of 1200 and today completely without the roof and the Monte Siepi Hermitage where, according to legend, the knight Galgano retired to a hermit’s life in 1170 and as a symbol of peace, he stuck his sword into a rock, where he is still today.

Sposarsi nell’Abbazia di San Galgano in Toscana è senza dubbio un sogno che si avvera, il matrimonio piu’ romantico che si potrebbe immaginare. E’ divenuta infatti una delle location per le cerimonie piu’ richieste, per cui la quale la lista di attesa può essere davvero molto lunga, ma per cui vale la pena di aspettare. Il complesso architettonico di San Galgano si trova nel bel mezzo della Val di Merse a circa 35 km a sud di Siena ed è comodamente raggiungibile in macchina, in circa 45 minuti di viaggio. Il luogo è composto da due punti d’interesse: la grande Abbazia gotica, risalente alla fine del 1200 e oggi completamente senza tetto e l’eremo di Monte Siepi dove, secondo la leggenda, il cavaliere Galgano si ritirò a vita eremitica nel 1170 e come simbolo di pace, infisse la sua spada dentro una roccia, dove si trova ancora oggi.
Sposarsi in una di queste due location è davvero indimenticabile e le foto della cerimonia hanno sempre qualcosa di magico e di irripetibile!
