Wedding Proposal in Chianti, Tuscany
In mid-March, after an initial email exchange with Franko, we began organizing a Wedding Proposal in Chianti, Tuscany for him and his girlfriend. Franko had a clear vision in mind, requesting a location with authentic Tuscan charm. Given my extensive knowledge of the region, I recommended a beautiful winery in Chianti, not far away from of Siena, known for its rustic Tuscan style and picturesque settings.
Choosing the Perfect Location: Felsina Winery, Castelnuovo Berardenga
We decided on Felsina, a small, historic winery located in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of Chianti, Tuscany. Felsina’s traditional rustic architecture and its private wine tastings and tours made it an ideal choice. Franko’s fiancée, unaware of the surprise, was set to enjoy a guided tour and wine tasting, while the wedding proposal would unfold unexpectedly in the cellar.
Serenade for Wedding Proposal: A Touch of Romance
After the wine tasting, we guided the couple to the cellar, where I stood ready to capture every detail of the surprise. Waiting for them was a fantastic acoustic duo, The Tuscany Vibes, featuring Marco Pisaneschi (guitar & voice) and Riccardo Biliotti (double bass). As soon as they arrived, the musicians began playing a romantic Ed Sheeran song, creating the perfect backdrop for Franko’s wedding proposal in Tuscany. At that moment, Franko knelt down, and the soft, live music added a deeply emotional and unforgettable touch to the atmosphere. Following the proposal, the duo continued with a curated playlist, giving the couple time to enjoy a slow, intimate dance surrounded by the warm, timeless charm of oak barrels — a scene straight out of a Tuscan dream.
An Unforgettable Moment: Photos and Emotions
Despite the dim lighting and Franko’s visible excitement, the photos turned out incredibly emotional. In fact, the soft background music added a magical touch, elevating the atmosphere and making the moment truly unforgettable. As a result, this special event became a memory they’ll cherish for years to come — and for me, it was deeply rewarding to help bring it all to life. Right after the proposal, we moved to the stunning Crete Senesi for a romantic couple portrait session. Surrounded by rolling hills and golden light, we captured a series of intimate, emotional shots that beautifully reflected the joy and connection between them.
